Young Comrades' Perspective
Orwellian
- "Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it." - George Orwell
- Every generation should have the mindset of being more intelligent than previous generations. The upcoming generations might learn from the older generation's by watching and learning. So then they could improve themselves and society. Every generation believes they are wiser than the upcoming ones because they are more experienced and have been through it.
- WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH - George Orwell
- These slogans were meant for the society. Orwell wanted to make the people think was war really peace? He wanted to kind of take their thought of logic away. The characters strongly believed that the only way for peace was war. All of these slogans from the Truth of Ministry, had the society brainwashed.
- "The quickest way of ending war is to lose it." - George Orwell
- Thinking about the quote and rewording it helps understand it more. Orwell probably meant that the quickest way to end war was to not fight at all, Or he most likely meant to surrender.
