The Origin Of Ants

1. What is your interpretation of the Chinese folktale, "The Origin of Ants?" What do you think the moral of this story is? Do you like it? Why or why not?

• The story is about a man supporting his family but doesn't have enough money, so his wife nags him and he goes to jail. He is also disowned by his society and king. The moral of the story is that people seem like they are only nagging you and just saying stupid things. But they are really trying to look out for you and care for your well being. He needed to grow up and be the man of the house. I think the women was right for doing that to him because she shouldn't have to tell him that.
